 Re: TBCB Predicts (spoilers likely)
didn't they recently bump Marvin up to 8?
I think Ice does a fantastic job and at the end of the day if I don't agree with something I change it ....
thing about Marvin is he is tough to rate because his best offense was his ability to cut the other fighter ... that isn't a ratable category ...

I'm actually updating the Middleweights for TB as we speak. I'm on the 7's right now. I'm helping Ice Tea out, although I'm way behind schedule because of work right now.
By the time I get to Ray Robinson, it'll be awhile.
I've been doing fighters since 78' believe it or not. I recently redid the Heavyweights for the All-time Heavyweight tournament.

 Re: TBCB Predicts (spoilers likely)
I am trying to catch up. I try to listen to everyones output and make my own judgements about fighter ratings. Most of the time I agree with the ratings at TBCB but some I feel are off and I adjust accordingly on my own.

 Re: TBCB Predicts (spoilers likely)
Some fighters are a lot harder to update than others because of the argument as to whether they were overrated or not. Some of the old-time trainers I heard speaking when I was a kid thought Jack Dempsey was way, way overrated. Others thought he was great. Depending upon how you feel, that's what your rating would reflect.
Same thing today with Floyd Mayweather's Welterweight rating. I haven't looked at it lately, but the last time I did, it was a 14. That puts him way up there. I rated him lower based on the DeLaHoya fight (which was a split decision).
Overall, though, it's good to adjust fighters to what you believe they should be if you think they're off. It makes the game "more believable."

Not bad predictions Mike!
Did you use the 8 rated Sergio @ 154? I'm curious what his new rating @ 160 will be?

Yeah that is what I used ... nice lead on the Valero story ... I can only find it on one site and didn't know about it before you posted it on OOTP

 Re: TBCB Predicts (spoilers likely)
Thanks, yeah I just saw it on fightnews, man what a waste & a shame. Will he be the new version of Tony Ayala where we wonder years from now, what might have been?
Time will tell because police in South America also made it appear like Gatti's wife was guilty too @ first.
